Government Lal Chakradhar Shah Mahavidyalya was established in 1970 on the land generously donated by Raja Bhishm Dev Shah in memory of Raja Lal Chakradhar Shah of Chowki State. Since its inception the College has progressed in terms of initiating new Courses, Faculties, Student Strength and Infrastructure. Presently the College offers courses in Arts, Science and Commerce. In addition to academics the College has units of NSS, NCC, Red Cross, Sports, Library and Wi-Fi enabled Campus.
